This game proved that Neptunia and SENRAN KAGURA can get along very well with each other. Players can enjoy RPG-like leveling and customization elements along with exhilarating high speed ninja hack and slash action. In addition, there are Ninja elements within the game’s setting to match the tone and theme of this game. The battle system is mainly based on the Senran Kagura series and combines some systems from Neptunia U. The main gameplay is divided into a story campaign and battle mode, and some interesting mini-games are included alongside the story. The setting is this neat mix of Japanese history, but with that classic Neptunia sci-fi/video game twist and it kinda reminded me of Cyberdimension Neptunia. I wouldn’t say it’s… great, but if you like the usual Neptunia comedy-adventure duo, that is on full display here – just with the Senran Kagura girls as a bonus. Not that I dislike her character design, and I’m not gonna whine about it like any Twitter user yelling at the clouds over Xenoblade 2, just that it’s out of left field.
